Flickophile.com is a one-stop destination for all film lovers. Our goal is to provide all the information a discerning film lover could want in one place. We provide regular film reviews, weekly previews of new films and box office analysis, discussion of major film festivals, significant film news, and thorough award-season coverage. We also offer other regular features, such as Top Ten lists, reader polls, opinion essays, and a variety of special themed series. Our primary medium is the written word, but we may occasionally publish videos and podcasts as well.
At Flickophile.com, we love movies, and we always speak of movies and the filmmaking process with respect, even in a negative review. Every article we post comes from a place of intelligence and humour, and is coloured by an intimate knowledge of film history. We aim to draw attention to every creative aspect of filmmaking — we celebrate not only actors, directors, and writers, but also below-the-line artists such as cinematographers, film editors, designers, and more.
We also nurture a dialogue with our readership; readers are encouraged to comment on our posts, to which our contributors will reply, building thoughtful and intelligent conversations about film. Ultimately, our primary goals are to inform, to entertain, and to promote a continuing conversation about film and film history.
